600yd RIFLE MARKSMANSHIP COURSE
Cost:  $250.00


The purpose of this course is to provide the knowledge and skills to engage targets up to and including 600yds.  The class is open to entry level and experienced shooters.

Learning objectives are: How to use your equipment (rifle, scope and ammo) from a bench or prone position, find a group and 'zero' at 100yds, and develop DOPE [data of previous engagement] at 200-300-400-500 and 600yds.  Choosing the correct ammunition. Reading and adjusting the scope.  Gathering the data to develop a firing solution.

Rifle calibers accepted are: Most, including 22 LR Rimfire[up to 300yds]. ['belted' magnums are not permitted on Range 1]Email or call for clarification.
Recommended ammunition count is 60 cartridges,  more is always better.

The course is 1 day.  Generall held on a Sunday
Classroom: Internal, External, and Terminal Ballistics.  Explanation of steps to 'getting on paper' at 100yds, 'shooting for group' and 'zero' at 100yds.

Range: Live fire using the steps to be 'on paper' at 100yds, 'shooting for group', and 'zeroing' at 100yds. Live fire on paper targets at 200 and 300 yds to develop DOPE cards


Course is conducted at the Cheyenne Mountain Shooting Complex.
